Pervious concrete is already being used for drainage of developed areas. If a high level of substitution of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) can be used in pervious concrete it can further increase environmental benefits. However, performance cannot be sacrificed for environmental benefits. The purpose of the research was to compare the hardened properties of pervious concrete with high volumes of GGBFS with those of similar pervious concrete with no GGBFS. Four levels of substitution of GGBFS for Portland cement were used 60, 70, 80, and 90 percent by mass.
